People change after a while, and they're no longer who you once knew. Newt BACKGROUND Newton Artemis Fido Scamander is an English wizard born February 24th. Like any other British born wizard, Newt received his letter to Hogwarts and attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry. Much of his life is unchanged from his current life. His mother was a hippogriff breeder and he became obsessed with magizoology and creatures as a whole. He has an older brother by the name of Theseus. He didn't have many friends growing up in Hogwarts as he was considered a rather eccentric child. And of course, he was expelled from Hogwarts before fully completing his education. This is where his life diverges. Having not graduated and was expelled, Newt was scrutinized by his parents for shaming them. Due to their pureblood heritage and seen as a failure, his relationship with his family starts to become incredibly strained for not meeting their expectations. This is exacerbated by Newt's continued interests in magical beasts; an interest that they see no worth in and don't consider a legitimate path for a career. Tired by constantly being picked apart by his family, Newt decides to leave and is basically disowned by his family for the dishonor and shame he brought to their name. He sheds his family name and pursues his passions. While the path is difficult and Newt goes from a comfortable, high class life to nothing, Newt is truly happy. His hard work and determination eventually pays off when he's commissioned to travel the world to write a book on magical beasts with there currently none on the market that isn't terribly outdated. RELATIONSHIPS + Newt is accompanied by Luna Lovegood as an assistant who is trying to further her knowledge of magical beasts under his tutelage. + Hasn't been in contact with Theseus Scamander since being disowned. Their relationship is rather volatile and they don't get along in any capacity. + While not being in contact with Percival Graves in awhile, the man is a closer family friend of the Scamander household. Newt hasn't been in contact with him in awhile though.
